Journal Aims and Focus

Economics, Business and Management Science Journal (EBMSJ) (Online ISSN: 2775-3794; Accredited SINTA 5 by Kemendikbudristek RI under Decree No. 72/E/KPT/2024) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published biannually (February and August) by Mahesa Research Center in academic cooperation with partner higher education institutions (STMIK TIME Medan, Universitas Terbuka, and UMSU). The journal is dedicated to advancing theoretical knowledge, empirical evidence, and managerial/policy practice across the fields of economics, accounting, finance, entrepreneurship, and management science.

Scope of the Journal

EBMSJ welcomes original empirical research articles, econometric and financial modeling studies, systematic literature reviews, and policy analysis papers across core and emerging disciplines, including:

• Economics & Development Studies: Microeconomics, macroeconomics, public economics, regional and rural development, international trade, monetary/fiscal policy, and Islamic economics.


• Accounting & Financial Management: Financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, taxation, corporate finance, capital markets, investment analysis, banking, and behavioral finance.


• Strategic & Operations Management: Strategic management, organizational behavior, human resource management (HRM), supply chain and operations management, and knowledge management.


• Marketing, Entrepreneurship & Digital Business: Consumer behavior, digital marketing, brand management, SME development, innovation & entrepreneurship, e-commerce, and financial technology (FinTech).


• Corporate Governance, CSR & Sustainability: Good corporate governance (GCG), environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting, business ethics, green economy, and sustainable development.


• Public Sector & Service Management: Public administration, healthcare/hospitality/educational management, and non-profit organizational governance.

Peer Review Process

Every manuscript submitted to Economics, Business and Management Science Journal (EBMSJ) undergoes a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept strictly confidential:

1. Initial Editorial Screening (1–7 Days): The Editor-in-Chief or Managing Editor evaluates the submission for alignment with the journal's Focus and Scope, adherence to the EBMSJ template and APA reference style, and similarity check via Turnitin / Plagiarism Checker X (maximum similarity threshold: 30%).


2. External Double-Blind Peer Review (2–4 Weeks): Manuscripts passing desk evaluation are assigned by a Section Editor to at least two (2) independent external reviewers (Mitra Bestari) with specialized expertise from outside the authors' institution.


3. Editorial Decision & Revision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor issues a decision (Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Decline). Authors are given 1–3 weeks to submit revised manuscripts and a point-by-point response.


4. Final Production & DOI Registration: Accepted articles undergo professional copyediting, PDF galley layout, Crossref DOI registration (10.34007/ebmsj), and online publication in the scheduled issue (February or August).

Publication Frequency

Economics, Business and Management Science Journal (EBMSJ) is published regularly on a biannual schedule (twice a year) in February (Issue 1) and August (Issue 2) by Mahesa Research Center.

Open Access Policy

Economics, Business and Management Science Journal (EBMSJ) (Online ISSN: 2775-3794) provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. In accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), all articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), permitting unrestricted reading, downloading, copying, distribution, and adaptation with proper attribution to the original author(s) and source.

Archiving

Economics, Business and Management Science Journal (EBMSJ) utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system and the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), alongside national digital archiving in GARUDA (Garba Rujukan Digital) and the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (Perpusnas RI), to create a permanent, distributed archiving system among participating libraries. Authors are also permitted to self-archive the published PDF version in institutional or subject repositories immediately upon publication without embargo.
